Where the hell is Mat:? Matt is everywhere.
How do you water your plants?
Especially now, in the summer, going on vacation could be a problem for plant lovers. Asking your neighbours to do it is a solution, but do you really want some strangers in your house? I know I don't.
So here's the alternative: Aqua Globe. It will water your plants continuously for up to two weeks without a refill.
Each Aqua Globe is a unique glass sculpture. Aqua flow system captures oxygen released by dry soil and releases an equal amount of water back so plants don't get over watered.
Set of two includes one blue and one multi-color. Glass, 12 x 3 1/2". $9.98. Nice.
Time to take your pill?
The capsule clock called Gélule is good for reminding you it's time to take your pill. Or to simply brighten your day. The good news it is also a radio. Gélule features a backlit LCD display and an omni-directional speaker.

Fizbags, the perfect replacement for ugly plastic bags
It's been two months now since I've been using my FIZBAG and I have to say I love it. I absolutely love it.
Sure, you could say I would have to be crazy to love a bag. Yes, what's wrong with that? Since I received my floral design bag from Fizbag, I haven't bought or used as many plastic bags as I would have normally used. Every time I went shopping, two or three plastic bags were 'involved', but now I just carry this cute bag with me everywhere I go and since it doesn't take much room in my backpack, I just use it.
It's not much, but it's something. Plastic bags take over 1.000 years to degrade, breaking down into small toxic particles contaminating the soil and waterways. I'm not saving the planet, but I'm making a small effort. Plastic bags are said to have a very short 'life span' and let's face it, we use hundreds of them each year. Instead of helping destroy the environment, we could all switch to these reusable bags.
And the final argument: Fizbags are 'trendy'. Fizbag hand-held and shoulder bags [I recomment the shoulder bags, theat's how mine is and it's so easy to carry] are £3.75 each [plus postage and packing] and they are VAT free too. Get them while they're hot - that is, anytime!
What you see up here are the new print designs, which will be available early July 2008.

The gift of nothing
'Congratulations! You have received the gift of nothing. Absolutely nothing. This is the ultimate in minimalism. Less is more, more or less.
Nothing is precious. Nothing is simple. Nothing is sacred.
Open the pack and be enthralled when nothing happens.
Allow nothing to flow through your mind and calm your soul. Savour the moment. Soon you'll discover that nothing really is so much better than something.
The gift of nothing is yours to discover...'
Now that's good copywriting and great marketing! You wrap nothing in a 17 x 9 x 7 cm pack and then sell it for £3.49 plus shipping. Available at www.iwantoneofthose.com/nothing/index.html.
This is not the only great idea of its kind. A New York student sells New York garbage for no less than $50. Of course, garbage is packed in very stylish transparent plastic cubes, carefully 'arranged', signed, numbered and dated, making them perfect for anyone who wants their own piece of the NYC landscape. Just get one now before they clean up this city'.

Pop a coin, get a Smart?
This Smart vending machine was 'spotted' in Japan.
The Japanese won't be able to purchase a Smart from the 'vending machine', but they can obtain information about the car from the brochures that are readily available at the faux vending machine. [via]
Colorful HDD
External hard disk drives. I'm not using them yet, but if I were to choose, I'd probably go for Western Digital's colorful HDDs.
Drives come in 120GB, 160GB, 250GB and 320GB capacities and connects to your computer via USB 2.0. But I like them 'cause they're so colorful. The 320 GB model costs $179.99, the 250 GB - $129.99 and the 160 GB external hard disk drive sells for $99.99. Not too cheap, but I guess beauty has its price.
Smooff!
That's a nice word, but what is Smooff?
A laid-back cushion, so you can enjoy life in the best way. You can lounge at the beach, in your garden, on the boat or your balcony!'
Smooff is available for €99 in nine countries so I'm guessing I won't have one soon:
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- Luxemburg
- France
- Spain
- Germany
- Denmark
- Sweden
- Norway
99€... That's pretty expensive, but I'm writing about Smooff because I like their website and the products look nice, not because I want to buy them. :D
360° mirror
When combing/styling your hair, this 360° mirror can prove very effective, don't you think?

Store your condoms with style
Prophopot is a 'bedside storage vessel for condoms' or prophilactics pot. Looks better than a drawer full of condoms, plus it has colorful lids shaped like... well, condoms. :)

Available here for 15 sterling pounds.

Automatic Sensor Paper Towel Dispenser
A few years ago, when all I drank was Pepsi, I wished someone would invent a "magic" device, something like a Pepsi tank with a straw, somehow attached to the ceiling. The straw would go in my mouth and it would release the drink when I would need to take a sip.
So... the magic device hasn't been invented yet, but someone did think of a automatic sensor paper towel dispenser. There isn't much to say about this device: it's an automatic sensor perforated paper towel dispenser that works on all home paper towel brands. The sensor-activated control guarantees one hand operation without touching the unused sheets or the dispenser. Prevents contamination of germs and saves paper. [source]

Busted tees are great
I just stumbled upon this online T-shirt store: Busted Tees. Awesome! Here are my favourites, in case you were wondering. And my birthday's October the 9th. :D Again, in case you were wondering...

Bacon. You can
How would you feel about flossing with bacon-flavored floss? Now that sounds kinda crazy, doesn't it? But since Bacon Floss is sold by Archie McPhee, "where pickels yodel and lederhosen run free", it shouldn't be a surprise.
Improve your dental hygiene while enjoying the flavor of fried bacon. For five dollars, you get 25 meters of waxed bacon-flavored floss.
Bacon lovers will also enjoy Uncle Oinker's Bacon Flavored Mints [$5 for a set of 2]. Check the link above.

The right coffee served in the right cup
I love coffee, that's no secret. My blog in Romanian is full of posts about coffee, songs about coffee and so on. The perfect cup of coffee has always been an issue for me, that's why my kitchen cabinet is filled with lots of cups, most of them big, with different designs or inscriptions.
Until recently, I was happy with the mug I'm using, which was bought from Iaşi. I've been using it for six months now, and that's a record!
But now I've found these old pictures in my computer at work and I fell in love [again] with these mugs. The first one allows you to select the contents of the mug, while the second - my favourite - is perfect for graphic designers who are obsessed with colours [guess who? ]. It's called My Cuppa Tea, but I'm sure you can use it for coffee, it wouldn't mind.

Have I ever mentioned...?
...I'm a big fan of sheepses? Yeah, that's right, sheepses, not sheep. Sheepses is the "affective plural" for sheep and it's also the name of an online t-shirt store [www.sheepses.ro].
The best thing about Sheepses is that you can personalize your own t-shirt if you don't like to dress like all the other sheep in the herd. I've got three t-shirts and I love them. :)

Mouse over Internet Protocol
I mean, mouse and VoIP telephone. Two in one, from Sony.
VAIO Mouse Talk, an optical mouse that doubles as a fully-functional Internet phone. Intereseting choice of gadgets to combine, but I like my mouse to be just what it is: a mouse.
It can be used for Internet phone calls - made with Skype, for example. :)
No-key Keyboard
What'a a keyboard without keys? It's a cool, flat surface keyboard!
The "no-key keyboard" consists of a glass surface, camera and lighting, and it will use the latest motion capture technology.
Designed by Kong Fanwen.
Get drunk fast
If you like beer, you'll probably love the beer syringe. It's made of "FDA approved materials with a friction-fit mouthpiece that enables easy filling and cleaning without causing a mess".For $20 you can now drink up to 700 milliliters in less than 2 seconds. It's pretty stupid, but for students or 'dudes' trying to get drunk fast, I guess it makes a good investment. Or a great gift. You can buy it at bierstick.com - they are sold out now, but I'm sure not for long.

Karakiri is a creature of comfort
What is Karakiri?
Well, it would probably be mean to say it's just a pillow, because it's not. It's like your favorite pet but it is not messy at all. It's actually the friendliest looking pillow-or-something-like-that I've ever seen. Karakiri comes in the color and size of your choice. That's pretty cool! And I'm sure you'll love Karakiri if you don't have someone's loving arms to hold you when you sleep. Plus, I hear it's perfect for pregnant women.
I want one!
Read more about it at www.karakiri.com or check out its adventures here.
